My entry for the month. I thought my songwriting was becoming a bit samey so I'm laying off the guitars for a while, and focusing on electric piano, a sound I love and that doesn't sound too "rock". I'm also writing melody-first at the moment, so basically coming up with vocal melodies I like and building the song around them.

I'm calling this style "Indie Noir"  Laughing

Really enjoying the sparseness of it all. Nice saturation and plenty of space given for the vocals, sung with the right balance of distance and emotional involvement and nicely processed and mixed.
One of my favourite in your recent batch. Good things can happen when a guitarist stays away from his axe and tries something else.

I really like this.  The electric piano is lovely. The saturation and the way it breaks up sounds really good. Nice and dirty without being overdone. The synths and whooshes and a lovely bit of texture.

"Indie Noir" sounds like a cool genre too Smile
